Terms of Service
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a contract between you and Curated (“Curated”, “we”, “us”). They govern your access to and use of the Curated application and related services (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Who can use Curated
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into this contract to use Curated. The Service is intended for adults seeking to meet other adults. You may not use Curated if you have previously been banned, or if a law applicable to you prohibits it.
2. Your account
- You register with a phone number or email address that you control, verified by a code or link we send you.
- You are responsible for activity on your account and for keeping access to it secure.
- You agree to provide accurate information, including your real name, age, and recent photos of yourself.
- One account per person. Do not impersonate anyone or create accounts for others.
3. How the Service works
Curated uses an AI matchmaker. As part of onboarding you complete a short recorded voice interview. From that interview we generate a private compatibility profile and a public summary that you review and approve before it is shown to anyone. Each week we surface a small number of curated matches, and we may show an AI-generated “chemistry preview” - a simulated, fictional conversation that illustrates possible rapport. Previews are not real messages from any person and are clearly labelled as simulated.
4. AI features and no guarantees
Matching, summaries, and previews are produced by automated systems and may contain inaccuracies. They are suggestions, not advice or assurances. We do not guarantee that you will receive matches, that any match is compatible, accurate, or genuine, or that any interaction will lead to a relationship.
5. The recorded interview
The voice interview is recorded. By starting it you consent to the recording and to our processing the audio and its transcript as described in our Privacy Policy. You can skip the interview, but your profile stays hidden and you cannot be matched until you complete it and approve your summary.
6. Acceptable use
You agree to follow our Community Guidelines. Among other things, you must not:
- Harass, threaten, deceive, or endanger others.
- Post explicit, illegal, or infringing content.
- Solicit money.
- Use the Service commercially.
- Scrape or reverse-engineer it.
- Attempt to access accounts or data that are not yours.
7. Your content
You retain ownership of the photos and information you submit. You grant Curated a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to host, process, and display that content to operate the Service (for example, showing your profile to potential matches). You are responsible for having the rights to everything you upload.
8. Safety
Curated does not conduct criminal background checks or identity verification on members. We do not vouch for any member. You are solely responsible for your interactions. Take sensible precautions: meet in public, tell a friend your plans, and report anyone who makes you uncomfortable using the in-app tools.
9. Suspension and termination
You can delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or the Community Guidelines, or where we reasonably believe it is necessary to protect members or comply with law.
10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Curated will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for the conduct of any member, whether online or offline.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. If we make material changes we will give reasonable notice (for example, in the app). Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
12. Governing law and contact
